Iranian steel production soared in the first two months of its new fiscal year

    According to the Financial Tribune news on June 20, in the first two months of this fiscal year (starting on March 21st), Iranian steelmakers produced a total of 7.66 million tons of billet and steel, an increase of 13% compared to the same period of last year.

    Among them, steel billet production was 4.25 million tons, up 21% year-on-year.

    Billet and billet production totaled 2.23 million tons, up 30% year-on-year, while slab production was 2.02 million tons, up 12% year-on-year.

    Steel production increased by 5% year-on-year to 3.4 million tons.
