Steel Angles are the most basic type of roll-formedsteel. They are formed by bending a single angle in a piece of steel. Angle Steel is ‘L’ shaped; the most commontype of Steel Angles are at a 90 degree angle. The legs of the “L” can be equalor unequal in length.
Steel angles are used for various purposesin a number of industries. Framing is one of the most common uses for steelangles, but steel angles are also used for brackets, trim, reinforcements, andmany other uses. The larger the steel angle, the more weight and stress it canbear.
AS3679/300+ is the standard grade manufacture for hot rolled Structural Steel sections & Merchant Bar sections. In Equal Angle the legs of the “L” are equal in length. Commonly used in framing, including bed frames, box trailers, shelving and structural application.
