Brazilian iron ore exports increased by 21.6% in February
According to data from the Brazilian Ministry of ForeignTrade, in February, Brazil’s iron ore exports were 28.9 million tons, up 21.6%year-on-year; the export price was US$52.9/ton, unchanged from the same periodlast year. Exports were US$1.53 billion, an increase of 21.6%.
The export volume of flat rolled steel was 212,000 tons, anincrease of 3.11%; the export price rose from 626 US dollars/ton to 670 USdollars/ton, and the export volume was US$142 million, an increase of 10.3%.The export volume of semi-finished steel products was 532,900 tons, down 16.1%;the export price was 487 US dollars/ton, up 2.65%; the export volume was 260million US dollars, down 13.9%.
