Indian state mining company's iron ore output increased by 20.3% in April
On May 22, the National Mining Development Corporation ofIndia (NMDC) said that in April this year, the company's iron ore output was2.9 million tons, up 20.3% from 2.41 million tons in the same period last year.
India's National Mining Development Corporation said that thecompany's iron ore sales were 2.7 million tons in the same month, an increaseof 22.7% from the 2.2 million tons in the same period last year.
The National Mining Development Corporation of India isIndia's leading iron ore producer with an annual production of about 30 milliontons. It currently operates three highly mechanized iron ore mines, two ofwhich are located in Chhattisgarh and one in Karnataka.
