Global direct reduced iron production shows a rapid growth trend
According to recent statistics released by the World SteelAssociation, global direct reduced iron (DRI) production in 2018 was 99.8million tons, an increase of 12.5% compared with 88.7 million tons in 2017.With the high degree of global energy conservation and environmentalprotection, different regions and countries have paid more and more attentionto direct reduced iron, and direct reduced iron production has also increasedto varying degrees. The largest increase in output is in the United States, andthe output in 2018 is reached 3.4 million tons, an increase of 70%.
From the perspective of direct reduced iron production, thetop six countries are India, Iran, Russia, Mexico, Egypt and Saudi Arabia.
